Fifa and official sponsor Budweiser have turned to social media to decide the official Man of the Match during World Cup games holding the vote on Twitter.
Twitter feeds will be available in six languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Arabic.
Voting will open at the start of the second half of each tournament game with fans able to click on a picture of their choice of player and register their vote via #manofthematch.

Thierry Weil, Marketing Director for Fifa, said the process gives fans “the opportunity to be part of the sport they love”.
During the 2010 World Cup in South Africa voting for Man of the Match was restricted to Fifa’s own website.
