Shortly after the release of Nikon Coolpix S800C, Samsung announces the Galaxy Camera that similarly will run on an Android operating system, the latest Jelly Bean. Equipped with a large 4.8-inch touchscreen on the back, it stops short of being a mobile phone without being able to make calls.
Aside from that, the Samsung Galaxy Camera has roughly the same key specifications as the Galaxy SIII smartphone, meaning that the camera has 3G or 4G connectivity (on top of Wi-Fi).
Ensuring that you get the best quality Instagram pictures without the hassle of transferring from a digital camera to your mobile phone, the Galaxy Camera has a 21x optical touch zoom lens, and 16 megapixels CMOS sensor.
Additionally, the camera offers several built-in photo editing options as well as an Auto Cloud Backup feature that saves all images into Samsung's AllShare system.
